- Responsible for coordinating commercial vehicle inspections and carrier audits done by the patrol and managing the federal MCSAP grant in Colorado. Also supervised Sgt's, Troopers and support staff. Served on numerous committees to enhance traffic safety and testified before state legislative committees regarding proposed law changes. Responded to many federal rulemakings for the Department of Public Safety, represented the CSP on several state and national organizations including:

- Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, Passenger Carrier Committee (1992-2001[Chair 1997-2001] )
- American Bus Association,, Bus Industry Safety Council (1995-2001)
